International Organization for Migration
The Ripfumelo Project’s main aim is to reduce HIV and TB vulnerability amongst migrants and mobile populations and the communities affected by migration in South Africa, with a specific focus on farm workers. In the Nkomazi District AGRI-IQ developed a farm based peer led health education programme. Our reach has extended to working on 17 farms and educated 5600 permanent agricultural employees and 2,850 seasonal employees. The project has trained 46 health peer educators.
